Handmade with love
I was born and raised in Japan. I moved to Canada 2003 and become a permanent resident.
I have always enjoyed creating things with my hands using my imaginations. Living Canada gave me more opportunity to explore my creativities. I started making creatures with clay in 2004 and I really enjoyed seeing peoples happy face when they saw my work. I taught myself how to felt in 2007 and then shifted more and more to using wool rather than clay. I love the result of softness and warmth with wool. Once felted, the piece speaks to me. It’s a great feeling to give life to fluffy wool.
I started to sell my unique, hand made felt creations in 2008 from a table I shared with my friends at a craft market . I took it seriously and started Him Creations since 2009. Since then I have continued to expand my range of creations and attend many markets and stores to sell my creations.
2020 I opened Niche Art Gallery in Granville Island with few other artsits and keep making fuzzy friends and also creating art community and enjoying creative life.
Key to success
In my work, I use my imaginations to create characters, creatures, animals...in my way. Felting is my way to do it and I love the result of softness and warmth. Once felted, the piece speaks to me; it's a great feeling to give life to fluffy wool.
Leading passion
I strive to make creatures that are born to be loved by someone and bring big smiles to their faces. Most of my creations are all wool however I sometimes use wire structures for larger works. I am not limited to using other material to make creatures if my design calls for it.

All my work are handmade by me 🙂 With lots of Love
